Their eyelash curlers alone seem to be the favourites of every beauty buff on the planet, and few counters in store excite and thrill us quite so much as the technicolour offerings at shu. However, such pioneering make-up can seem slightly daunting to those of us who don't have our own beauty NVQ. No need to panic - shu uemura's chief make-up artist, Kakuyasu Uchiide, is visiting Harvey Nichols London to share his artistic experience and offer individual advice on colours and application techniques. Uchiide is Shu Uemura's right-hand man, having worked for him for over twenty years. Considering he has created the make-up for Oscar de le Renta and Jean Paul Gaultier fashion shows amongst others, there are probably few better people to learn the top techniques from. Kakuyasu Uchiide will be at the shu uemura counter on the Ground Floor at the London store on 18th, 19th and 20th October from 10am - 7pm.
